Pickleball Tournament in Arlington benefitting the Parkinson Foundation of the National Capital Area and Educate the Girls, Inc. Seeking Volunteers

The  Mid-Atlantic Open Pickleball Tournament taking place Oct. 5-6, 2019,  at the Thomas Jefferson Community Center in Arlington is seeking volunteers. This event is  largest sanctioned pickleball tournament in the Washington D.C. Area  with over 300 players, ages 12 to 80,  competing, according to the event’s organizer, Helen White of Arlington.  This is the fourth

109-year-old NVSO medalist’s competitive spark still burns brightly

Last year Doris Woodring was the NVSO’s oldest competitor and oldest gold medal winner at 108.  She turned 109 in June and is currently honing her game to repeat her gold medal performance in Mexican Train Dominoes, September 19th, in Falls Church. Click photo for full story.
