By Reading Rocks is a program that encourages reading in small children by providing them with new books every month. Each child is encouraged to read 100 books a year!
Task: Once a month, the volunteer will assist staff with book deliveries. Pick up books from APAH’s main office, and deliver them along with some printed materials to the household participating in the Reading Rocks Program.
Volunteers need access to a vehicle, and must be able to walk up several flights of stairs depending on the location. Book deliveries are flexible with your schedule but must be completed within one week of receiving the delivery. All deliveries are in Arlington County. Most properties are within 10 minutes or less from each other. Please wear comfortable shoes and clothing.
