Shepherd’s Center of NOVA Needs Drivers and Other Volunteers

DRIVER- One of the most rewarding volunteer experiences is driving Seniors to medical appointments, grocery, food bank or hairdresser. Most drives are weekdays between the hours of 9-4 pm. Schedule and time commitments are flexible; you drive only when and as often as your schedule will allow.

Office Volunteer – Substitute Office Volunteers are needed during our normal business hours to answer phones, log-in calls, and respond to inquiries about programs or services. You will also document requests for services from clients, and phone volunteers to fill these requests. Schedule is flexible. The 2 daytime shifts are 10am-1pm and 1pm-4pm. Training will be provided. CDC Guidelines are in place.

Outreach Volunteer – Join one of our committees to help Shepherd’s Center with events and outreach. We hold many roles within event planning, logistics, setting up various local farmer’s markets, Viva Vienna, Oktoberfest Vienna, and the coordinating of all the events. Help us to spread the word about our FREE services to help older adults 55+.

Schedule and time commitments are flexible. Virtual orientation will be provided.

For more information about any of these opportunities, contact Stacey Iden, RSVP Program Manager, at siden@volunteerfairfax.org.
