Mount Vernon at Home Needs Shoppers, Drivers, and Home Technology Assistants

PLEASE NOTE: All Mount Vernon at Home Volunteers must undergo a background check before serving.

VOLUNTEER DRIVERS:

Volunteer drivers provide transportation for seniors to medical appointments and the grocery store.

Drivers are needed once a week for 1-2 hours, which are flexible between Monday-Friday 9-5, and some Saturday hours.

GROCERY SHOPPING SERVICES:

These volunteers provide weekly or biweekly grocery shopping services for MVAH members living in their own homes. They can either transport member to and from grocery store allowing member to shop on their own or with minimal support.  They can also  pick up shopping list and method of payment at member’s home, complete grocery shopping for the member and deliver groceries to member’s home. They must use their own car or reliable form of transportation.

Volunteers are needed once a week for 1-2 hours, which are flexible between Monday-Friday 9-5, and some Saturday hours.

HOME TECHNOLOGY ASSISTANTS:

Home Technology Assistants provide seniors with home technology support services such as computer, printer, software installation, telephone/television set up.

Volunteers are needed once a week for 1-2 hours, which are flexible between Monday-Friday 9-5, and some Saturday hours.
