Huntley Meadows Park, the largest park in Fairfax County spanning 1,452 acres, is a sanctuary for over 600 species of plants and animals.

Fairfax County Park Authority is looking for volunteers to help Huntley Meadows in day-to-day activities. If you’re interestedc please reach out to RSVP Volunteer Specialist, Shannon White at swhite@volunteerfairfax.org.

  • Volunteer on Duty
    • Welcome visitors upon arrival at Historic Huntley or Huntley Meadows Park.
    • Provide an interpretive history of the ground, park, and surrounding area.
    • Provide information on the park’s basic operations, facilities, programs, and rules.
    • Answer phone and take messages.
    • Assist with project as needed.
    • Work one 3-hour shift per month on a Saturday between March and November.
    • Prefer one year commitment.
    • Background check required.
