Volunteer Fairfax looking for “Stuff the Bus” Food Drive Volunteers

Outdoors, social distance, masks required.

The Stuff the Bus food drive began in 2011 as a response to a critical need to restock the shelves of local food pantries after the holidays. Buses, parked throughout Fairfax County, become sites of nonperishable food donations.

Due to the hardships faced by many families as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, food insecurity is on the rise.  This year, more than ever, we must combine efforts to assist those in need.

Since 1974, Volunteer Fairfax has been mobilizing people and resources to meet regional community needs. On Saturday, January 30th and Saturday, February 6th from 10:00 am-3:00 pm, Volunteer Fairfax, along with the Volunteer Emergency Team (VET), will be manning one of the Stuff the Bus locations.

Volunteers are needed to help. If you are interested in participating, please contact RSVP Volunteer Specialist, Shannon White, at swhite@volunteerfairfax.org for more information.
