Volunteer at Fairfax County RECenters Helping Customers

At Fairfax County’s RECenters residents can utilize gym and pool facilities, as well as participate in fitness classes and utilize sport courts.

Currently, the county is looking for volunteers at three of their facilities. If you are interested in any of the positions below, please contact RSVP Volunteer Specialist, Shannon White, at swhite@volunteerfairfax.org for more information.

• Front Desk Assistant
  • Location:
    • Oak Marr RECenter in Oakton
    • South Run RECenter in Springfield
  • Greet customers
  • Help with check-in
  • Answer phone calls
  • Light cleaning
  • Time Commitment: 4 hours/week for 6 months
• General Support Assistant
  • Location
    • Oak Marr RECenter in Oakton
  • Assist with the front desk
  • Help design, make, distribute promotional posters, flyers, bulletin displays, and class passes
  • Help keep sites clean and neat.
  • Light to heavy lifting
  • Time Commitment: 4 hours/week for 4 months.
