Help Those Struggling to Cope with DIY Stress Relief Kits: Project of PRS

PRS is dedicated to providing behavioral health, crisis intervention, and suicide prevention services.

Formally known as The Social Center, Psychiatric Rehabilitation Services, PRS has been working since 1963 to help individuals living with mental illness, substance use disorders, mild intellectual disabilities, autism spectrum disorders, and anyone who faces life crises to achieve safety, personal wellness, recovery, and community integration.

This year, as portions of the population are experiencing higher levels of stress, PRS is collecting and distributing stress relief kits. These kits will help PRS’ frontline employees and volunteers, including crisis workers and clinical staff who provide mental health and crisis support services throughout the community.

Items to include in stress kits:

  • Coloring books (including for adults)
  • Colored pencils
  • Stress balls
  • Journals
  • Nonperishable snacks
  • Cards with messages of hopes
  • Anything you think can help alleviate stress in someone’s life
