By There are so many celebrations during the year, from established holidays to National Pizza day, so you may be asking why we choose to celebrate volunteer managers. Here are just a few of the reasons why:
- Volunteer managers can change lives. They are the gateways for volunteers who want to serve. They connect people who can help to those who need help. They are key to fostering public and civic service.
- They inspire volunteers to become role models, leaders, and advocates for countless non-profits serving the community’s needs.
- They navigate through complex resources, finding connections, mobilizing members, weaving an intricate spider web to make sure there are countless ways to bring help to where it is needed.
- Volunteer managers, even in unprecedented times, work tirelessly to create the possible. So many obstacles are thrown in the way every day as organizations work to serve the public. So, when they are asked why they are working to relieve a problem that sometimes seems like it may never be fixed, they don’t succumb to the cynicism. After all, they know the most important thing you need when you’re working toward a better tomorrow:
