Volunteer Fairfax chief executive officer Steve Mutty has named Volunteer Fairfax staffer Brandi Morris as the new RSVP-Northern Virginia program manager, effective Sept. 2, 2019.
Brandie joined RSVP in late May, 2019, as RSVP’s volunteer specialist.
“We quickly realized Brandi brought the talents and the drive to qualify her to apply for the program manager position,” Mutty said. “Following a competitive interview process, Brandi was the overwhelmingly clear choice to lead the RSVP department.”
Before coming to Volunteer Fairfax, Brandi was involved in volunteer programs around the world that supported developing relationships between the U.S. Military and its host countries.
Brandi says the connections she created provided volunteer opportunities where service members and their families could give something back to the communities in which they lived, enhancing the reputation of service members and their families abroad.
Brandi moved to the D.C Area in 2017, after she and her family had lived in England more than seven years. Brandi and her husband Rob, who have been married for 26 years, have two children : a daughter Jordan, 20, a student at George Mason University, (Jordan also interns at Volunteer Fairfax), and a son, Eli, 16, a junior at West Springfield High School.
“I am extremely excited about this new opportunity,” Brandi says. “I look forward to continuing the fantastic work already accomplished by RSVP-Northern Virginia.
