Helping Local Seniors Live Healthy Longer

The Northern Virginia Senior Olympics, a partner of RSVP-Northern Virginia, is seeking more than 100 volunteers (ages 16 and up) to support the 2019 games which run Sept. 14-28.

The NVSO takes place at 25 venues located across Northern Virginia. More than 800 competitors (who are all 50 or better) will take part in more than 60 events that exercise the mind as well as the body.

Would you like to help local seniors keep “Living Healthy Longer?”

Like volunteering with RSVP-Northern Virginia, volunteering with the NVSO is fun, healthy, social and inspiring. Where else can you watch an 83-year-old run a 60 meter dash or a 101-year-old win a gold medal in bridge.

Thanks to RSVP’s volunteer engagement leaders, at the larger NVSO events, there will always be someone nearby to make sure you are having a great time.

NVSO volunteers do everything from greeting and helping sign in NVSO competitors to timing races.

To register as an NVSO volunteer today, please visit www.rsvpnova.org and click the big green button!

All NVSO volunteers will get a free NVSO volunteer shirt that they will be asked to wear on event days!

The NVSO offers volunteer experiences for everyone. No matter your location, level of physical activity or schedule, you will find an opportunity that is perfect for you.

If you are 50 or better, you can also compete in the NVSO. NVSO registration closes Aug. 31 at https://nvso.us/events/registration/

There will be no event day registration for competitors.
