RSVP-Northern Virginia is proud to announce it has hired a new volunteer specialist, Brandi Morris of Springfield, Va.
Brandi has extensive experience in volunteer and event management, according to RSVP-Northern Virginia program manager Janet Davison.
“As a long time volunteer herself, Brandi truly appreciates the importance matching every volunteer with their ideal opportunity,” Janet says. “RSVP and Volunteer Fairfax are thrilled to have Brandi on the team.”
Brandi, who earned an Associate of Arts Degree in General Education at the University of Maryland- Upper Marlboro, has worked for a number of government and faith-based groups in both the United States and in Europe, where her family lived when her husband was stationed there with the armed forces.
“The RSVP team is a very tight nit group that prides itself on providing very personal support to its outstanding volunteers. Brandi is a very easy-going down to earth person who I think our volunteers will love,” Janet added.
“I am very excited to be at RSVP,” said Brandi, whose first day at Volunteer Fairfax headquarters, home of RSVP-Northern Virginia, was May 29.
“This such a great program,” she said. “I look forward to meeting our volunteers, work station partners and volunteer engagement leaders in the coming weeks.”
Brandi thrives on treating every volunteer as an individual. She says her favorite quote is “Be who you are and say what you feel, because those who mind don’t matter, and those who matter don’t mind.”
Please look for a more in-depth interview with Brandi in our July RSVP Newsletter. Brandi can be reached at 703-403-5360 or at email@example.com.
