Happy National Volunteer Week!
This special week got off to a great start at the Fairfax County Government Center where the Northern Virginia Positive Aging and Wellness Fair was held today.
RSVP would like to thank all of its volunteers who helped make today’s event a success. Several of RSVP’s workstation partners had booths and or spoke at workshops including Insight Memory Care Center, Fairfax County Volunteer Solutions, Capital Caring, Volunteer Fairfax Rebuilding Together and FACETS.
Shown in the photo at the top of this post are from left, RSVP volunteers Vivian Izurieta, Ken Kozloff and Shelley Brosnan, who helped make sure fairgoers found the correct bus leaving the event.
A special workshop moderated by Volunteer Solutions’ Theresa Brown (standing at left) titled “Looking for a Meaningful Volunteer Experience” featured Volunteer Fairfax CEO Steve Mutty, (speaking at podium) Dorothy Keenan of RSVP partner Grand Involve (shown speaking with Mike Perel of the Fairfax Area Commission on Aging) and Lauren Kessler , volunteer manager of RSVP partner FACETS, shown speaking at podium in photo below.
RSVP-Northern Virginia is a program of Volunteer Fairfax, Volunteer Arlington and Volunteer Alexandria.
Thank you to everyone who attended and donated their time and talents to make today a success!
