Where : The South County Government Center,
8350 Richmond Highway, Alexandria, Va, 22309
The RSVP team would like to thank all of our volunteers who did not let the cold and rain dampen their spirits as they completed the Valentine’s in a record time today.
The event was hosted and sponsored by Chesterbrook Residences, a nonsectarian, 501 (c) (3) not-for-profit residence in Falls Church that offers both affordable housing based on a sliding income scale and high quality care. Chesterbrook also provided boxed lunches to all of our volunteers.
Several of our volunteer partners also took part including Fairfax County’s Volunteer Solutions, Senior Services of Alexandria and the INOVA Hospital Elder Life Program.
Our volunteers were also treated to a visit from a local celebrity, Bella, Fairfax County’s 50+ canine ambassador. Thank you to Bella and her friends for attending!
Thank you to everyone who helped “spread the love” today. Thanks to your work and your support, close to 400 local seniors including residents at Chesterbrook and Meals on Wheels clients throughout Northern Virginia will have a happier Valentine’s Day.
Below is a slide show that include some of the moments from today’s event. We hope you visit our Facebook page later this week for some more photos from today’s meet and greet!
Happy Valentine’s Day from your friends at RSVP!
