
RSVP-Northern Virginia, and The Northern Virginia Senior Olympics would like to thank everyone who took part in our joint volunteer info session, this morning at Oak Marr RECenter.
More than 20 people took part in the event which highlighted volunteer openings at the NVSO, which will tentatively open its 2019 games, Saturday, Sept. 14.
Roger Webb, who has been involved with the NVSO for nearly 20 years, spoke to volunteers about why being part of the NVSO is so important to him. Roger is currently vice-chair of the NVSO planning committee and was the event’s torch bearer in 2017.

RSVP volunteer specialist Carly Hubicki spoke about the benefits of volunteering with RSVP and the NVSO. Jane H. Anzilotti, volunteer manager with Oak Marr RECenter discussed volunteer needs with Oak Marr as well at with the county’s other recreation centers.
RSVP and the NVSO would like to thank Jane and the staff at Oak Marr and the Fairfax County Park Authority for hosting and helping to promote this event.
We would also like to thank Marge Kelly, co-owner of NOTHING bundt CAKES, located at 129 Maple Avenue W. in Vienna, for providing a tray of complimentary and delicious handcrafted bite size bundt cakes for our attendees.
