RSVP teaming up with Chesterbrook Residences in Falls Church to spread love to local seniors for Valentine’s Day

RSVP Northern Virginia  is excited to announce the date for its 2nd annual Valentine’s Day Meet & Greet, titled “Spread the Love with RSVP,” which will take place Tuesday, Feb. 12 at Chesterbrook Residences in Falls Church.

Chesterbrook Residences in Falls Church, the cosponsor of the event, is graciously  lending us event space and providing free lunch for all participants. Volunteers will be spreading the love by assembling Valentine’s care packages and cards for Chesterbrook residents and for local Meals on Wheels clients.

RSVP-Northern Virginia is a program of Volunteer Fairfax, Volunteer Arlington and Volunteer Alexandria.

2019 valentines dayLast year, nearly 40 RSVP volunteers and friends made more than 200 Valentine’s Day cards for residents of partner Vinson Hall in McLean. A group of those volunteers are shown in a photo above taken at the end of the event.

Chesterbrook Residences is a not-for-profit assisted living community for seniors 62 years young and better. In addition to partnering and supporting logoRSVP, Chesterbrook Residences is a gold patron of RSVP-Northern Virginia partner, The Northern Virginia Senior Olympics. RSVP-Northern Virginia would like to thanks Chesterbrook for hosting and sponsoring this event on February 12!

RSVP Volunteer Specialist Carly Hubicki will also be holding a mini-orientation for those interested in learning more about the largest volunteer program for seniors and retirees in the region.
