Story and Photos by Rob Paine, RSVP-Northern Virginia

As we near the end of the month, we would like to take a final look at our successful November RSVP group service project and meet and greet at Frying Pan Farm, November 1, in Herndon.

For information and to register for our next RSVP Monthly Group Service project taking place December 13,  at Conerstones in Reston, please click here!  or call Carly at 703-403-5360.

Thank you to all of our volunteers and workstation partners who took part and painted some colorful pumpkins, enjoyed some fall season treats, a hayride and fellowship and completed 100 food care packages for local school children.

We also appreciate the Fairfax County Park Authority for lending us the Frying Pan visitor center for the day and two local Walmarts and the new Chantilly Wegman’s for their support of the event and service project.

Thank you all!

Below is a gallery of some of the sights from that great day!

RSVP offers more than 200 meaningful opportunities that include helping seniors age in place, assisting local food pantries, and teaching ESL to adults.

RSVP volunteers enjoy flexible schedules, free accident and liability insurance while serving, optional mileage and meal reimbursement and are invited to volunteer group projects and social gatherings.

For more information please email RSVP Volunteer Specialist Carly Hubicki at or call RSVP at 703-403-5360. To learn more about RSVP, please visit RSVP Northern Virginia is a program of Volunteer Fairfax, Volunteer Alexandria and Volunteer Arlington.
